Applications of Functions
Prerequisite: Algebra 2A
This course will help students further develop the mathematics skills and knowledge they already have by reviewing important concepts already learned in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry with a focus on multiple representations (i.e. graphs, tables, and equations). Applications of Functions will be taught using a combination of review of previously learned content as well as the integration of multiple representations and real world application problems and activities to further stimulate retention and understanding of Michigan Merit Curriculum content.
Key Concepts: Linear Functions, Quadratic Functions, and Polynomial Functions
A graphing calculator (T1 83 or T1 84) is highly recommended.
Next Course in the Sequence: Algebra 2B, Pre-Calculus A, College Prep Math, or Probability and Statistics
